Hyderabad: Talent met opportunity on the cycling tracks of Hyderabad, and the result is a ticket to the National Championships for Nalgonda’s Ramya.

Hailing from Kansanpalli village, Ramya had been putting in grueling hours at the Osmania University cycling academy, chasing a dream often constrained by the lack of top-tier gear. Her fortunes shifted during a routine session at Gymkhana Grounds, where she crossed paths with BRS Working President KT Rama Rao. Struck by her grit and passion, KTR stepped in to sponsor a professional racing bicycle.

Equipped with the right wheels, Ramya let her performance do the talking. She bagged gold at the Telangana state championship before storming to another gold at the ASMITA Khelo India cycling trials—sealing her qualification for the Nationals.

Applauding her feat on X, KTR called her rise "truly inspiring," noting that targeted encouragement can unlock extraordinary potential in grassroots athletes.
